Healthy and Beautiful
The Sauna has a history which is thousands of years old. The word sauna is actually Finnish and can be translated as "sweat bath". The sauna probably originates from eastern Asia, where the first forms of a stone sweat bath were discovered. In ancient times, stones were heated in earth caves, water was then poured on them to produce steam.
About 2000 years ago, the Fins began their great migration from Asia to Europe and with them they brought their ”ancient sauna" which was ever sacred to them. The sauna's purpose was to cleanse not only the body but above all , the soul.
Wellness-Oasis and Relaxation
Regular sauna visits protect you from catching a chill and keep you fit and healthy. The interplay of warm and cold supports your health. the warmth dilates the arteries in the skin, the heart works more intensively and tense muscles loosen up. The cold makes the arteries contract again. This leads to the stimulation of many bodily functions and the strengthening of powers of resistance. The idea of having a cold is totally foreign to many sauna -goers, and if they do actually succumb to one, they recover much quicker than everyone else.
Going to the sauna is also an excellent way to care for skin and beauty in general. The warmth helps the the blood supply to the skin. skin has an extra good supply of blood, nutrients and oxygen are transported more efficiently which leads to a much faster renewal of skin cells. This slows down the skin aging process. The intensive sweating leads to the body releasing extra liquids and a thorough cleansing of the skin. This is why your skin feels especially firm and beautiful after a visit to the sauna.
