Hard wood or structural elements?

Silgmann saunas can be produced using hard wood or structural elements. This completely depends on your personal preferences and feeling. It does not make any big difference to the atmosphere of the sauna, whether the cabin, is completed as a block sauna in hard wood or with insulation elements for heat protection.

Cork - the organic alternative

We use stone or mineral wool as an insulation material for the standard model. However, if you wish, we will happily insulate your sauna cabin with high quality cork from Portugal. This cork is characterized by its very high resin content, making it possible to process the cork without any extra bonding agents.

Dry and balanced

Silgmann sauna cabins are not erected directly on the floor but they are supported by a floor frame. This floor frame protects the sauna walls from the dampness of the floor, whilst at the same time acting as a balance for any uneveness in the floor.
