Ventilation - fresh air to breathe

A well functioning fresh air supply is the most important element for the well-being factor and good atmosphere in the sauna. The whole sauna evening depends on this. At the same time, an effective ventilation system prevents unpleasant odours lingering in the sauna. Silgmann has developed a great variety of specific ventilation systems for just this reason.

Standard ventilation

The standard ventilation consists of a fresh air supply under the sauna oven. The exchange of air takes place via the thermal drive through the ventilation duct.

3-D-Ventilation

The Silgmann 3-D-Ventilation system functions according to a simple principle: fresh air is supplied directly into the cabin. The hot and dry air rises, cools down when coming into contact with the sweating bodies and at the same time takes up the humidity. The cooled air then sinks to the ground again and is sucked up through three chimneys positioned in the corner.

As this takes place through the thermal drive alone, there is no danger of any draughts. At th esame time, fresh air is constantly brought into the sauna area through this air movement.

3-D-Counterflow ventilation

For the thermal drive to reach the strength to facilitate the air exchange, the warm air has to reach a temperature of 80 degrees celsius. In the soft sauna and the soft steam bath, this temperature is not reached. In addition to this, after the temperature of 45 - 60 degrees celsius is reached, the oven seldom switches itself on to heat up again afterwards. Therefore less fresh air is sucked up via the oven.

In this case, the patented counter flow ventilation system can be implemented. In two of the three chimneys, pressure is created which in turn supplies additional fresh air. The used air is sucked up through the chimney.
