The Perfect Steambath

1) Preperations
Make sure you have enough time. A steam bath session should take at least 2 hours. You can only really enjoy the relaxing effects of a steam bath if you are not under time pressure.
2) In the Steambath
Make yourself really comfortable either by sitting or lying down. Your first session in the steam bath should ideally be around 10 - 15 minutes. Whilst in the steam bath rely, above all, on how you feel.
3) Rest
After cooling off with cold water take a warm (approx. 40°) ankle deep footbath. This re-opens the blood vessels in the skin relatively quickly so your body can adapt to the slightly higher temperature. A warm footbath after a steam bath prevents heavy sweating afterwards.
